Minicab.com Driver App: The app collects drivers’ precise or approximate location data, in order to enable more accurate job offers, and for jobs to be worked on and completed. The minicab.com Driver App collects this data when it is running in the foreground (app open and on-screen) or background (app open but not on-screen) of their mobile device.
The app collects location data from users’ mobile devices if they enable the app to do so. The app collects location data while a driver is signed on to the system, in order for them to be accurately sent jobs, and for the job to be tracked until completion. The location data collected from a driver is sent to the target fleet’s system they are currently signed on with.
Drivers may use the minicab.com Driver App without enabling the app to collect location data from their mobile devices. However, this will affect features in the app. For example, a driver who has not enabled location data collection will not be able to receive automatically dispatched jobs, and will be unable to accurately complete a job as it will affect calculations based on journey distance.
